MSA British Rally Championship crews are welcome at Severn Valley Stages.
After recent consultation, the Rallynuts Motorsport Severn Valley Stages are delighted to welcome crews from the MSA British Rally Championship who wish to sample the forests utilised by round 4 of the series, the Nicky Grist Stages.
In a recent bulletin, MSA BRC championship organisers state:
Article 14.3 RESTRICTION OF RECONNAISSANCE For BRC registered competitors wishing to enter the Rallynuts Motorsport Severn Valley Stages 2016 on 4th June 2016, BRC Sporting Regulation Article 14.3 will not apply with regard to the Nicky Grist Stages 100 Rally.
The Midland Manor Motor Club rally has recently announced a new sponsorship agreement with established racewear and accessory firm Rallynuts Motorsport, creating an opportunity for the event to expand with a fresh new route across stages which have been chosen for their prime condition. Organisers are also keen to provide a value for money rally and have achieved a route which has 64% of single stage usage (36% of repeat usage) with an entry fee of just £525.
The Royal Welsh Showground in Builth Wells plays host to the rally and provides an unrivalled venue for Rally HQ, Scrutineering, Attended Overnight Parking, Start/Finish, Service Area and Awards Ceremony. Scrutiny and documentation will take place on Friday 3rd June, but to reduce competitor’s costs, provision has also been made for this to take place on the Saturday morning by prior arrangement. This will enable crews to travel to the event on the day. Competitors will be flagged away from the Showground at 8.30am on Saturday 4th to tackle seven classic stages, before returning to the finish just after 3.30pm.

Regulations are released for the Saturday 4th June event which includes a new-look route
Regulations for this year’s Rallynuts Motorsport Severn Valley Stages are now available to download from their brand new website, www.severnvalleystages.co.uk
After securing a new sponsorship deal with Rallynuts Motorsport Ltd, the organisers have worked hard to bring a fresh new look to the 2016 rally, by offering nearly 45 miles of stages in some of the best forest locations that Wales has to offer. After a break of six years, the Saturday 4th June event will return to Radnor Forest for a fast and flowing stage before returning to the forests of Cefn, Crychan and Gwibedog. This offers competitors 64% of single stage usage and all for an entry fee of £525.
The Royal Welsh Showground in Builth Wells will once again host the rally and provide an unrivalled venue for Rally HQ, Scrutineering, Attended Overnight Parking, Start/Finish, Service Area and the Awards Ceremony. Competitors will be flagged away at 8.30am on Saturday 4th by the Lord Mayor, to tackle seven challenging stages, before returning for a champagne finish just after 3.30pm.
The event is proud to be a round of the Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship, Pirelli MSA Welsh Rally Championship, the new HRCR Stage Masters Challenge and is a reserve round of the FMP Rally Challenge.
With various payment methods, including “staged payments” and the offer of a full refund should competitors find themselves unable to compete, (until 23rd May 2016), there is no reason to delay in entering this year’s rally.
Entries Secretary, Dave Lancaster, said “Over the past few weeks we have had many enquiries about this year’s rally, including some from overseas competitors. Our first entry came until minutes of the Regulations being published, so I urge all competitors who are thinking about entering, not to delay. Our online system is very easy to use, but I’m here to help should you have any difficulties”.

The 2016 Rallynuts Motorsport Severn Valley Stages is launched
New partnership forged with racewear and accessories supplier Rallynuts Motorsport & Severn Valley Stages.
Popular Welsh stage rally, The Severn Valley Stages has announced a new sponsorship agreement with established racewear and accessory firm, Rallynuts Motorsport. The 4th June event will be known as the Rallynuts Motorsport Severn Valley Stages Rally and the new collaboration will bring a fresh new-look to the all-gravel event.
2016 will see the 43rd running of the Midland Manor Motor Club organised event and has been widely recognised as a key event in the British rallying calendar over the years. Having been known for 13 years as the Kerridge Stages Rally followed by the Mutiny Stages Rally, the new association with Rallynuts Motorsport offers an opportunity for the event to expand with the promise of a new route and stages.
Based at the Builth Wells Showground, the rally will once again be a round of the Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship, Pirelli MSA Welsh Rally Championship; the new HRCR Stage Masters Challenge and the FMP Rally Challenge. It will offer over 40 miles of action through some of the most challenging stages in Wales, made famous by the final round of the World Rally Championship finale, Wales Rally GB in recent years.
Event organisers are delighted at the new partnership with Rallynuts Motorsport and believe it will help them to offer an even better rally than the success of 2015. “It really is an honour to have Rallynuts Motorsport on board with us this year and we hope this is just the start of a long and prosperous relationship” said joint Clerk of the Course Keith Ashley. “The rally has a fantastic heritage and we had some very positive feedback after last year so we are hoping to build on that for 2016 and having Rallynuts on board will certainly help with that”.
Paul Bonas and Craig Cameron, Managing Directors of Rallynuts Motorsport Ltd are equally enthusiastic with the news. “We are delighted to be part of the 2016 Severn Valley Stages Rally and look forward to seeing everyone there” they said. “This event is already set to be a huge success and one to remember, so come along and be sure to be a part of it too.”
“Work is well underway behind the scenes to further develop many aspects of this exciting rally” they added. “We are thrilled to be providing support to the organisers, who are all volunteers, whom we acknowledge devote a vast amount of man hours to organise and ensure that competitors and spectators enjoy a safe and enjoyable day’s motorsport. We are grateful to have this opportunity to give back to the sport, as competitors ourselves, and are proud in the knowledge that we will be part of making this a thoroughly enjoyable event for all.”
